Thank you for visiting our BRECA Website! Please join BRECA if you haven’t already. Our community can totally benefit with your participation.
My husband and I first met when we were both Peace Corps Volunteers many years ago. Since 1987, we have enjoyed living in the BRECA neighborhood. This includes jogging, bicycling and kayaking on the American River Parkway, as well as participating in an active and committed neighborhood.
I continue to represent our community as a Director with the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, a Commissioner on the Sacramento County Local Agency Formation Commission, a member of the Cordova Planning Advisory Council, as well as the BRECA Steering Committee. Thank you for your support.
From 1981 until 2006, I served with the Sacramento City Fire Department, retiring with the rank of Captain. I am very proud to have had a career in the Fire Service, and would be glad to talk with anyone interested in pursuing such a path.
One last thing to share with you – in 2005 I donated a kidney to a kid sister of mine. (We are both doing great, thanks.) I would be very glad to share my experience, and chat with anyone interested in organ and tissue donation.
Look forward to seeing everyone at the next BRECA meeting – every 4th Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Cordova Library!
