  1. Old Business
  2. Psynergy

Debbie Purvis reported that she had not had success in contacting Psynergy to express concerns about their clients loitering and dropping cigarettes around her neighborhood.  She also has not had success at arranging a site visit for BRECA members.  Gay Jones noted that the facility was previously a senior citizens home and now is a mental health treatment program wherein clients are prescribed medications.  It is an open campus and clients can come and go as they please.  She inquired of Ashleigh Kaufman, a representative for Supervisor Pat Hume, about the process for allowing a new use?  Ms. Kaufman stated that she will check into it and get back to us.

Ken Crawford noted that the clients are loitering around the shopping center and that he feels uncomfortable going there.  He raised that question of what program(s) do they have?  Gay wondered whether they have an impact on the library.  Andrea White noted that their web site indicates that they want to acquire adjacent property for an equestrian program.  Lori Christensen stated that she had talked to their representative about that, and they are not going forward with that plan.

  1. Easter Egg Hunt

Andrea White discussed the preparations for the BRECA Easter Egg Hunt.  Weather is an issue, and go or no-go will be decided the Friday before the event.

James Adams commented that the environmental document for the Corps’ erosion protection project had received between 300 and 900 comments.  He stated that that they may get final documents in May or June.  Jim Morgan commented that it was likely to take longer to prepare the final documents.

Jim Morgan enquired whether anyone had followed up on the food pop-up on Folsom Blvd. near Bradshaw Rd.?  Apparently nobody had.  Jim requested that Ashleigh Kaufman, with Supervisor Hume’s office, follow up on this.  Ms. Kaufman stated that she will check into it and get back to us.

Gay Jones commented that the Eclectic Center is still in disrepair.  In particular, a light pole is down.  James Adams commented that they have filled in some potholes, and they don’t collect water anymore.  Gay also observed that a large structure had been added to the Lavash Bakery.

A member of the audience commented that he had prepared a draft of a banner for the picnic, and sent it around via email.
